A teenager girl remains in hospital today after being hit by a car outside of Jesmond Park Academy . Two 16-year-old girls were struck by a white MG ZS as they crossed a road in the High Heaton area of Newcastle on Wednesday, November 26.
Police and paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) rushed to the scene of the collision on Newton Road, understood to have occurred shortly after 3.30pm, where one girl was found to have life-threatening injuries.
She was rushed by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) where she currently remains. The other girl was checked over by paramedics after sustaining minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at
