The New Orleans Saints are adding running back Evan Hull to their roster and have released former Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher Eku Leota as the corresponding move.
Hull was signed by the Saints on October 31, and has been with the team since, and now he will get a chance to showcase what he can do.
Hull was with the Steelers for all of training camp and the preseason but they released him by the end of it.
Hull was the Colts’ fifth-round pick out of Northwestern in the 2023 NFL Draft. He has just one rush attempt in his career for a yard, but the 5-foot-10, 210-pound running back impressed with above-average athleticism.
Hull ran a 4.47 40-yard dash and posted a 37-inch vertical jump. The Colts did not re-sign him following the season and now lands with the Steelers.
