The cause: Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children

After years of attending countless fundraising events, Elke Rubach finally had enough.

She turned to a friend in 2015 and said, “I’m done with all these galas where you go, they clap, they have dinner, everybody dresses up, and then you leave.”

She wanted to do something that focused on the people being helped. So, she came up with the idea of hosting a fashion show to raise money for Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, with patients and their caregivers as the stars.
