Aspen Mountain and Snowmass Ski Area will open as scheduled Thursday, with limited terrain amid a slow start to the winter season.
Aspen will offer skiing and snowboarding on “select terrain” on the upper mountain, including the Dipsy Doodle and Silver Bell runs to the Ajax Express chairlift. Snowmass will offer beginner runs only at Elk Camp Meadows.
