After a photo of Joe Keery officiating a wedding in his Stranger Things character’s costume went viral, he is opening up about how that came to be.

While appearing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon , the actor confirmed that he did in fact wear his real Scoops Ahoy costume to officiate his friend’s wedding. However, he reiterated that wedding guests were actually all in costume.

“I was on tour earlier this year, and Matt and Veronica, who are in this picture, they’re getting married,” he said. “Veronica was like, ‘I think it’d be great. It’s a costume wedding. It’s Halloween. You should go as [Steve].’”
