Owen Sound is no longer placing memorial plaques at the foot of donated trees in city parks and other public spaces.
A new approach involves a yet-to-be-built memorial area west of the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre, the general design and location of which was approved by city council Monday. There’s a $40,000 capital budget for this project.
