Anyone hoping Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin would have an immediate answer regarding his coaching future following the conclusion of the Egg Bowl was left disappointed on Friday, Nov. 28.

The most talked-about coach in college football didn't have much to say on whether he will leave Ole Miss or leave for another coach opening this season.

"No, I haven't (made a decision). I've gotta lot of praying to do to figure it out tomorrow," Kiffin told ESPN's Taylor McGregor following the sixth-ranked Rebels' 38-19 win over Mississippi State on Nov. 28. "Right now, I'm going to enjoy these players."

The postgame comments from Kiffin echo a similar tone he provided to the SEC Network's Marty Smith before kickoff, where the sixth-year coach said, "Today is about this game" and "this noise thing you've been referring to, this has been going on for weeks. This is nothing new for us."

ESPN's Pete Thamel reported before kickoff that Florida, one of the programs to which Kiffin has been tied, has shifted its national search. Per Thamel, "the school has sensed through irregular communication" that Kiffin is "interested in other options."

When asked in his postgame news conference with reporters in Starkville whether the outcome of the Egg Bowl has made his decision any tougher than it already is, he responded with "it’s difficult no matter what," according to Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger.

He also mentioned that he feels like he's got to make his decision by Saturday, and that he wishes his late father, Monte Kiffin, was still alive to help him in his decision.

Kiffin, who improved to 55-19 overall at Ole Miss with Friday's win, is expected to make an announcement regarding his future on Saturday, Nov. 29 according to Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter. Until that announcement comes, the Rebels (and Kiffin) will celebrate their first 11-win season in program history while their coach prays over his thoughts.
