EDITOR'S NOTE:

In an earlier post, we quoted Penticton-Summerland MLA Amelia Boultbee stating she objected to the inclusion of a supervised injection site at the proposed Heart and Hearth tiny homes project in Penticton’s industrial park.

Boultbee did comment she believes allowing drug use on site “is not a good solution for Penticton or our vulnerable people. How is it fair to have vulnerable people struggling with addiction to remain sick and warehoused?”

However, Boultbee did not specifically mention any supervised injection site for this project.

We hope this clarifies her comments.
