Gloversville adopted a $23.8 million budget for 2026 this week that raises spending 5.8%, but was trimmed from a $24.5 million budget proposal last month.

The city council unanimously approved the spending plan Tuesday, which includes a 5.6% increase in the property tax levy, to $7.9 million, and a 5.1% increase in the property tax rate, to $20.45 per $1,000 assessed property value.
