MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) - A head-on crash involving a stolen car left 10 people injured, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department.
MJPD said it was alerted by the Metro Nashville Police Department about a stolen vehicle that was last seen traveling near the Mt. Juliet city limits on Central Pike.
"MNPD was actively tracking the vehicle using GPS and shared a be-on-the-lookout advisory with Mt. Juliet dispatch," MJPD said.
Mt. Juliet officers positioned themselves along Central Pike to monitor for the vehicle, and just before 1:40 p.m., an officer stationed at Springdale Elementary spotted the car pass at a "very high rate of speed."
