Moviegoers trying to catch a film at the Hollywood Theater on Saturday afternoon found their plans unexpectedly changed after a suspected natural gas leak prompted firefighters to evacuate the building.
Minutes before the theater was expected to screen the Bollywood action flick “RRR,” a fire official strode in front of the screen and informed the audience of a “little” gas leak — prompting laughs among the audience, according to a journalist from The Oregonian/OregonLive who was in the crowd.
The fire official, though, said it was no joke and asked the audience to stay calm and evacuate.
