Defence wins championships, something the Edmonton Oilers forgot all too often in their first 25 games, but clearly remembered in their 4-0 win over the Seattle Kraken.
The Edmonton Oilers finally brought their “A” game at even strength and dominated the game with timely scoring. Best of all, they never looked that shaky on defence.
The Grade A shots (which go in about 25% of the time) were 13 to 9 for Seattle, with the subset of 5-alarm shots (which go in about 33% of the time) three to two for the Oilers.

CONNOR MCDAVID, 8. One goal, one assist. Quiet until he wasn’t, with gorgeous low-high pass to up Bouch, who zipped it to RNH on Edmonton’s 1-0 goal. Excellent puck control down low to push along the virtuous cycle resultin
