MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - One of Madison’s most popular sledding hills came alive Saturday as families headed to Elver Park on the city’s west side to enjoy one of the first significant snowfalls of the season.
Among the crowds were Ethan and Abby Sammer, visiting from Dallas, Texas, a place where winter looks very different.
“We’re from Dallas, Texas, and it like never snows there,” Ethan said. “So it’s just a bunch of fun going sledding and stuff.”
The siblings said they’ve only experienced snow a handful of times back home.
“We’ve been skiing before, and it snowed like one time in Texas, but it wasn’t that much and we were like sledding on like trash bags,” Ethan said.
The pair spent much of the day racing down the hill.
