CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - A wanted armed robbery suspect, 39-year-old Wendell Lewis Franklin, of Lynchburg, was arrested Saturday, November 29, according to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded November 25 to the 2000 block of Old Rustburg Road to an armed robbery in Lynchburg.

Deputies say Franklin went into a man’s home and robbed him while armed with a handgun. The man was also assaulted by Franklin, according to deputies.

Franklin was charged with the following,

Robbery

Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony

Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Brandishing a Firearm

Assault and Battery

A second man involved in the incident is still wanted, according to deputies. Deputies say the man left the scene with Franklin on the day of the crime
