LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man in connection with a critical assault investigation involving a child.

LMPD said Jorge Jesus Ramirez-Perez, 29, was taken into custody Tuesday, Nov. 26, on an active arrest warrant from a reported assault on Oct. 14.

Ramirez-Perez is charged with first-degree assault and first-degree criminal abuse involving a child under 12, according to LMPD’s Homicide Unit.

Investigators have not released details about the child’s condition or the circumstances surrounding the case.
