NORMAL ( 25News Now ) - Illinois State University’s Hancock Stadium will not host this year’s Illinois High School Association’s 7A and 8A state football finals. Instead, the games will be held at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
Championship games for the four largest classifications, scheduled to be played Saturday in Normal, were postponed when ISU closed its campus because of this weekend’s storm.
Class 5A’s contest between St. Francis and Providence Catholic will be played in Normal on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m., to be followed by the 6A championship between Fenwick and East St. Louis.
However, the IHSA announced Saturday that the 7A final between St. Rita and Brother Rice will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3 at NIU’s Huskie Stadium. Game time is 3 p.m., followed by the 8A game b
