CHEYENNE — The Circle of Cheyenne Citizen Warriors and Friends, spearheaded by local resident Joe Ramirez, hosted a town hall Saturday morning at the Laramie County Library.
The Circle is a community group of residents from across the political spectrum in Wyoming who are working to “fight for democracy,” Ramirez said. A little over a dozen individuals came to speak about issues regarding SNAP benefits, immigration, housing costs and LGBTQ+ issues.
They invited U.S. Sen. Cynthia Lummis, Sen. John Barrasso and Rep. Harriet Hageman to attend and hear people out; staff members for all three declined.
However, that didn’t stop residents from addressing their grievances with the government and democracy as a whole.
Attendees were asked to address whichever representative they wanted to whil
