NORMAN, Okla. — LSU is still waiting on Lane Kiffin .
LSU officials continued to express confidence Saturday they will land the Ole Miss coach as they have for the past week, believing they hold his commitment. But a deal has not been finalized as of Saturday evening, multiple sources told The Advocate.
Kiffin was expected to make an announcement about his future Saturday, Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter said in a statement last week. LSU officials hoped to reach a conclusion in their search by Saturday night, but sources said they believed the process could stretch into Sunday.
Kiffin’s decision has come down to leaving for LSU and staying at Ole Miss, which is heading toward its first College Football Playoff berth and could host a first-round game with an 11-1 record. Fl
