Saturday was supposed to be the day that Lane Kiffin announced a decision about his coaching future.

The Ole Miss head coach had said he'd announce whether he'll leave to head to the LSU Tigers or stay with the Rebels by Saturday.

But, as expected, the news isn't as clear-cut as most coach announcements . Late on Saturday, news surfaced that Kiffin was still at the UM chancellor's home talking about the situation.

"Lane Kiffin's future hangs in doubt after a meeting at the UM chancellor's home over whether he may continue to coach despite intentions to leave for LSU, sources tell Yahoo Sports," Yahoo Sports college football insider Ross Dellenger reported on X. "Vehicles belonging to Kiffin & AD Keith Carter were seen leaving at 6:45."
