STANFORD, Calif. (WNDU/AP) - The Notre Dame football team capped its regular season Saturday night (or early Sunday morning for those of us here in the Eastern time zone) by routing Stanford 49-20 for its 10th-straight win.
The No. 9 Irish (10-2) scored touchdowns, including one on an 84-yard fake punt pass , on each of their first four drives and led 35-3 at halftime. The Cardinal (4-8) scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but anyone who actually stayed up late to watch this game knew it was over with long before then.
