ANN ARBOR, Mich. — This wasn’t supposed to be the Michigan football team that rolled into the regular-season finale against Ohio State with playoff hopes on the line.
No Justice Haynes, no Ernest Hausmann, a makeshift offensive line with three redshirt freshmen and a Wolverines passing attack that seemingly found its groove in recent weeks. Tell that to the No. 1 defense in the country.
Against No. 1-ranked Ohio State, the warts, youth and inexperience all played a factor in a 27-9 loss at Michigan Stadium , a game Michigan only seemed to be in for one quarter.
“We’ll look a the film and see exactly what it is, but you never want this feeling again,” Michigan coach Sherrone Moore said. “Three-hundred and sixty-four days a year we’re going to figure out ways to win this game.”
