The Met Office has issued an updated amber rain warning for Wales for Monday and warned that some communities could be completely cut off for days. The weather warning for heavy rain across large parts of the country was upgraded from yellow to amber - the second-highest level of alert - on Saturday, indicating that flooding throughout the region is “probable” and that it could pose a “danger to life”.
On Sunday afternoon, the forecaster issued an updated version of the warning, with “significant rainfall” expected to hit large parts of the country, including parts of Ceredigion , which were previously outside the ‘amber’ zone.
The warning will take effect from midnight and remain active throughout most of Monday until 11pm. Read the biggest stories in Wales first by signing u
