A Darlington primary school have launched a new initiative for Christmas to help support families.
This week, Redhall Primary School announced the return of its Christmas jumper 'swap shop'- a scheme designed to ensure no child goes without this winter.
Pupils are invited to bring in last year's jumper and exchange it for a new one in their size this year.
In a post on Facebook, the school said the project is designed to support parents and carers at a time of year that "can be both wonderful and challenging", helping to cut costs while also reducing waste.
Families without a jumper to trade will still be able to choose one from the shop, thanks to "generous donations", with just a small contribution asked for via the school's donation tin.
The school is also inviting people to donate
