Florida football is expected hire Tulane's Jon Sumrall as its next head coach.
ESPN's Pete Thamel reported the news on Sunday morning, adding that Sumrall and Florida are finalizing a six-year deal at an average of $7.5 million per year with "significant incentives tied to the College Football Playoff."
Sumrall, 43, is one of the hottest up-and-coming names in the coaching ranks. In the last four years, Sumrall has had successful stints at Tulane and Troy, where he has put together a combined record of 42-11 and either played for or won a conference title each season.
