Karachi experienced the coldest morning of the ongoing winter season on Sunday, with temperatures dropping significantly to 13°C.

According to the Meteorological Department, Karachi’s minimum temperature fell by 3.4°C, reaching 13°C on Sunday morning. In contrast, Saturday’s minimum had been recorded at 16.4°C. A light mist hovered over the city at dawn, reducing visibility to three kilometres, though conditions gradually improved after sunrise as the day warmed.

The Early Warning Centre of the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast that Karachi will remain cold and dry over the next three days. Northeasterly winds from Balochistan are expected to prevail for most of the period. The city’s minimum temperature may drop further, reaching around 12°C.
