As families across the North East face rising energy bills, increasing child poverty, and an escalating housing emergency, charity YMCA North Tyneside is stepping up its work - described as a “lifeline” by the borough’s mayor. The charity has launched its new five-year strategy which will build on work that reached more than 48,000 people last year.
The new strategy reaffirms the 146-year-old charity’s commitment to supporting communities through hardship. It sets out the charity’s plan - already underway - to do more to , support the people and and the communities that need it most.
