Two display aircraft have crashed into one another in mid-air before one plunged to the ground killing the pilot.

The light aircraft were taking part in an aerobatic formation display alongside two other planes and were heading back to an airfield when the collision happened, authorities in Sydney, Australia .

The first pilot, Eddie Seve, was declared dead after his plane crashed into scrubland. while the second, Olly Geragthy, managed to bring his aircraft down safely at a nearby airfield. New South Wales Police have cordoned off two crime scenes, the Express has reported, with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) also launching a probe.
