With the start of meteorological winter on Monday, a snowstorm might not be far behind for Massachusetts.

Meteorologists are tracking the potential of a storm that could bring between 3 to 6 inches to the interior of the state, while the Interstate 95 corridor between Boston and Providence could see fewer than 3 inches, according to the National Weather Service.

What remains uncertain is what the storm will bring for the southern, eastern and coastal plain areas.
