NORTHVILLE — Athleticism makes up for a lot of things, such as graduation losses, an 11th-hour head coaching change and a distasteful end to last season.

That athleticism was on display Saturday night in the first and only round of Northville’s season-opening girls’ basketball tournament. A snowstorm caused the two-day tournament to be shortened to one, but if you ask Wells which was the worst blizzard it encountered, it might have to think about the answer.
