Days before the early signing period begins, Kings Mountain football standout William “Tex” Vaughn has decided where he intends to make his college home.

Vaughn announced via social media Sunday, Nov. 30, his plan to attend NC State.

“Honored to announce I’m officially locked in with (NC State football)!,” he posted on X, formerly Twitter. “Ready to get to Raleigh, get to work and make an impact.”

Recruited as a tight end, Vaughn is considered a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports. Previously a Boston College commit, Vaughn re-opened his recruitment earlier this month.
