Before Saturday night’s MGK concert had even begun, the stage set up was already causing some speculation in my section of the Saddledome.
At that point, all that could be seen was a giant outstretched arm towering above the stage and reaching through red curtains. One person said we would likely see MGK, the artist formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly, dangling from it at some point while singing a song. Another suggested he might zip-line to it from the other end of the arena to launch the show. Neither happened. But given the brilliantly over-the-top stage design, both seemed within the realm of possibility.
