Police say a 20-year-old man is in custody after he is accused of intentionally causing a multi-vehicle crash that left three people injured Saturday evening in central Lubbock.
Officers responded just after 9:40 p.m. Saturday to a report of a collision with injuries at the intersection of 34th Street and University Avenue, according to a statement from Lubbock police.
.Upon arrival, officers located the passenger of an SUV, 23-year-old Gracey Breitschopf, suffering from serious injuries, and the driver, 25-year-old Mkenna McFadden, suffering from moderate injuries.
Senaida Ortiz, 61, who was driving a minivan, suffered minor injuries. Breitschopf and McFadden was taken by EMS to University Medical Center.
Ortiz was taken by private vehicle to UMC.
