Four teenagers were arrested Saturday night after eluding police and shooting at an officer on Interstate 5, while two others evaded capture, according to police.
The officer was uninjured, and police did not return fire.
One of the teens was driving erratically in a stolen Dodge Durango SUV on Aurora Avenue North around 9 p.m. when Community Response Group officers tried to stop the vehicle during a proactive patrol in North Seattle, according to police. The driver fled. Officers decided not to pursue, police said.
Officers later found the Durango parked in South Seattle. The driver fled again as officers approached the car, police said. An occupant in the SUV fired rounds at an officer while driving south on I-5.
