FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s assistance in a hit-and-run crash investigation.

According to the department, one of its officers was driving through the intersection of Wallen and Lima Roads around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when a truck turned in front of their patrol vehicle, causing a collision.

The department says the driver of the truck immediately fled the scene.

The truck has since been identified as a dark-colored Ford F-250 or F-350 equipped with a red plow attached to its front and a salt spreader attached to its back.
