MIAMI GARDENS — When the 2025 season began, running back Evan Hull was at home, training and waiting for an opportunity to prove he still belonged in the NFL.
Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, that opportunity arrived: Playing in just his third NFL game, Hull served as the New Orleans Saints ’ No. 2 back with Alvin Kamara unavailable because of a knee injury.
His statistical line was modest, with his five carries going for 15 yards, but it was a meaningful day for Hull two years after a severe injury that nearly derailed his playing career just as it began.
"It was so many answered prayers to come back to this spot," Hull said. "Praying to be back on a team again, praying to play on Sundays. And He’s answered all those prayers, so I’m very thankful."
