Cedar Grove coach Rob Gogerty was incensed by Glassboro’s pass attempts in the final 1:57 of the Group 1 final on Sunday, with his team trailing by 15 points.
Gogerty was quite literally hopping mad.
So much so that after two more pass attempts - one a trick play thrown by a running back - Gogerty was penalized 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct for his yelling and finger pointing as he drifted 10 yards or so onto the field.
Gogerty was gesturing toward the Glassboro sideline, and specifically at head coach Timmy Breaker. The two coaches later had a screaming match during the handshake line after Glassboro’s 29-14 championship win at Rutgers.
