Quayd Hendryx saved the best game of his career for the end, and Jalen Parker became the all-time leading touchdown passer in New Jersey state history as No. 5 Winslow Township outlasted No. 8 Ramapo, 34-21, in the NJSIAA/Xfinity Group 4 football final Wednesday.

The Eagles rallied from deficits three times - on each occasion immediately answering a Ramapo score with one of their own - before putting the game away with a touchdown with just over two minutes to go to take home their second straight state championship.

Winslow’s season wasn’t as clean as last year’s 14-0 championship, which it capped with a 35-0 state-championship win over Phillipsburg. The Eagles tested themselves early and lost to national powers IMG (Fla.) and Bergen Catholic.
