Greg Schiano bounced back from one of his roughest losses in his head coaching career at Rutgers with a win on the recruiting trail.

The Scarlet Knights landed a commitment from Devonte Anderson , a 6-foot-1, 185-pound cornerback from Florida, on Sunday, three days prior to National Signing Day and a day after a crushing 40-36 defeat to Penn State that ended their 2025 season.

A consensus three-star prospect across all major recruiting services, Anderson flips his commitment to Rutgers from Louisville, where he had been committed to since mid-July. Anderson took an official visit to Piscataway — as well as Maryland, Auburn, Miami, Louisville and UCF — in June.
