Let me begin my weekly Tomorrow's Top 25 column -- wherein I predict how AP voters will cast their ballots following the week's results -- with a mea culpa. Last week I incorrectly guessed voters would flip the No. 1 team and knock Purdue off the top spot in favor of surging Arizona in what I, personally, believed would be the wrong decision. Turns out I was the wrong one. That's on me.

I underestimated the courage of their convictions. Voters stood pat and kept Purdue at No. 1 despite Arizona's better early-season resume. I did not think they had it in them. A salute is indeed in order. 🫡

This space is mostly projection-based guessing AP voter behavior and not opinion-based, but I'll state it here for the record for posterity: That falls in line with how I'd have voted. Arizona
