The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning as a month's worth of rainfall is set to batter the country, kicking off December with torrential downpours.
Amber weather warnings have been put in place for parts of Wales, while yellow weather warnings cover the rest of the UK, including the Manchester area , with heavy rain expected to cause significant disruption.
The public has been advised to prepare for potential flooding as the weather warning comes into effect at midnight on Monday, 1 December and will remain active throughout the day.
Senior meteorologist at the Met Office , Marco Petagna, has suggested that an entire month's rainfall could fall within just 24 hours, with deluges expected across the country, according to reports from The Independent.
