SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - November is coming to an end, and we haven’t seen much rain over the past several weeks. However, The WLOX First Alert Weather Team is watching the potential for multiple rounds of rain during the first week of December. South Mississippi will have the chance at getting some relief from our drought conditions.
ROUND ONE: MONDAY NIGHT
The first half of Monday will be dry, but a low pressure system moving along the Gulf Coast is expected to bring widespread showers Monday evening. There is the potential for some heavy pockets of rain overnight Monday into Tuesday morning. The risk of flooding is pretty low, but some localized flooding can’t be ruled out completely. Most of the rain will exit by the sunrise Tuesday morning. Many areas will pick up 0.5 to 1.5 inche
