Just three weeks ago, DeMarcus Lawrence returned two fumbles for touchdowns and was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for that performance. This week against the Vikings, Lawrence had 1.0 sack, put pressure on Vikings quarterback Max Brosmer that forced an ill-advised pass that led to a pick-six and forced a fumble, that head coach Mike Macdonald said is his new favorite play.
On the play where he caused the forced fumble, Lawrence wanted to get to Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. quickly and in doing so, ran past him, and was shoved by Jones ultimately falling to the ground. Lawrence was able to quickly get back to his feet and run from about eight yards behind Jones to force a fumble that safety Ty Okada recovered.
