CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thousands of dollars in Illinois Lottery tickets were stolen in a smash-and-grab burglary in Rogers Park.

The owner of Express Food Mart on Devon Avenue says two thieves used a large stone to break the front glass door.

He said they made off with a lottery machine and a stash of tickets worth nearly seven thousand dollars.

The suspects were only inside the business for about 30 seconds.

The robbery has been reported to the Illinois Lottery.

Chicago police said nobody was in custody.
