DETROIT -- The last touchdown of a championship season for Detroit Catholic Central came from an unlikely player.

Late in the Shamrocks’ 42-19 win over Cass Tech, with the Technicians desperately looking for a score to cut into the deficit, Cass Tech quarterback Donald Tabron II was flushed from the pocket, running to his left before desperately launching a pass downfield.

At the end of that pass, was Catholic Central senior defensive lineman Benny Eziuke.

He hauled in the pass, just his second interception of his career, and raced 61 yards for his first career touchdown.
