A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 1:04 a.m. valid for Tuesday between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. for Putnam and Rockland counties.
The weather service states to prepare for, "Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches."
"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes," describes the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling.
