On Monday at 12:55 a.m. the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid for Tuesday between 1 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Southern Erie as well as Wayne, Cayuga, Oswego, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
The weather service adds to be ready for, "Total snow accumulations 4 to 6 inches."
"Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes," explains the weather service. "Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving."
