On Saturday lunchtime at Fratton Park, Portsmouth, we saw the two sides of what a successful Gerhard Struber Bristol City side looks like.
The first 30 minutes were as good as anything that we have seen since the popular Austrian took over as head coach in the summer. It was fast, free-flowing football, and a dominance that silenced the Pompey crowd. The remainder of the game was a performance of determination, resoluteness and an absolute desire to keep the ball out of the net to deliver three points.
That early dominance was in large part down to the tactical changes made by Struber at the start of the game. Moving Mark Sykes into midfield alongside Adam Randell was genius
