Darrell Clarke made two changes to the starting lineup against Notts County, with Luke Thomas and Shaq Forde coming in to replace Fabrizio Cavegn and Kamil Conteh.

It was another change of system for Bristol Rovers , as they switched to a 3-4-2-1 with two number 10s, to match Notts County’s preferred shape . It was an effective change, as the Gas dominated the game - even when it was 11v11 for 35 minutes in the first-half before Tyrese Hall was given a straight red.

Rovers were unable to capitalise on their superiority, though, and Matthew Dennis’ deflected effort in the 86th minute condemned the Gas to an eighth consecutive League Two defeat.
