YOANE WISSA will continue to build up his fitness by appearing in an 11-a-side training game this week, but Eddie Howe remain reluctant to commit to a potential comeback date for the Newcastle United striker.
Wissa is yet to make a senior appearance since joining Newcastle from Brentford in the summer, having damaged his posterior cruciate ligaments while on international duty with DR Congo in September.
The 29-year-old played in a practice game at the weekend though, while his team-mates were on Merseyside beating Everton in the Premier League, and is set to have another behind-closed-doors run-out at the Magpies’ Darsley Park training base this week.
“He [Wissa] participated in an 11-vs-11 training game while we were at Everton,” confirmed Howe, whose side are back in Premier League
