MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Wisconsin organizations have just two weeks left to apply for bicycles for their communities.
The Bikes for Kids Wisconsin application season for its Spring 2026 Bike Giveaway Program is open through Monday, December 15.
The nonprofit collects and repairs bikes to distribute to partners who serve financially challenged people. This includes nonprofits, public schools, tribes and municipalities.
The mission of Bikes for Kids Wisconsin is to increase the use of bicycle-based transportation for underserved communities.
Organizations can apply for up to 100 bikes.
Organizations pay a $25 application fee to help cover program expenses. According to Bikes for Kids Wisconsin, the cost to distribute 2,000 bikes annually is $280,000.
